Toni Reed is an award-winning documentary producer/director with 20 years of experience in broadcast television and live events. Broadcast projects include works for PBS, A&E Television and The History Channel. In 2001, Reed's work on the A&E documentary series, Biography was recognized with an NAACP Image Award nomination for the episode "Sally Heming: Redefining History." In 2012, Reed was awarded an EMMY (NATAS/Midwest Chapter) as part of the production team for the documentary film "Colorblind: Rethinking Race" (https://vimeo.com/58354274)

A Fellow of Kartemquin Films' mentorship program, Diverse Voices In Documentary (2014), she began her solo journey as a filmmaker.

"The Shortest End Of The Stick" (Bernicola Productions) is her story of homeownership during the financial crisis of 2008. Reed is currently overseeing post-production of this film which she hopes after six long years, will finally be completed by June 2020.

Queens Of Concord is her second independent film and is scheduled for completion by late Summer 2020.

A native of Chicago, she now calls Concord, North Carolina home.
